Starting Over

We have seven games left. I say we just start over. Forget about South Carolina, Auburn, Tulane, UAB, and LSU. Lets start fresh this weekend with West Virginia. I know that is a difficult thing to do and it is very difficult for me to say. But we’ve got what we’ve got, you’ve got to play with the hand your dealt. And even though we may have a bad deal with this deck of cards, that is all we’ve got.My friends and co-workers have hounded me enough about my negative attitude towards our current coaching staff. All I want is to win, probably the same thing all the players and coaches want. Somehow, someway, they just haven’t been able to pull it all together. Look we have a national championship caliber team coming to Starkvegas this weekend. Let’s show them what we are made of. We are better than we have been playing and know it.
Coach Croom has talked about getting a shrink in to work with the team. Maybe that will work. Other teams have done this in the past. Somehow he needs to get the team to come out and play with emotion from beginning to end. Sure we scored some points late last week, but it was too late. We have to coming out of the gates on fire.
Who knows maybe we’ll modify our offensive game plan this weekend. Give Omarr the chance to make things happen. Maybe our defense can get the fire back that they had against SC and Auburn. If we have any hopes of beating WV on Saturday the defense must stop the run and make Pat White beat us. The Moutaineers are a rushing machine, but they don’t look that great passing. White threw 3 picks against East Carolina his last time out. The Mountaineers are only averaging 157 yards per game through the air. I expect we will probably stack the line much like we did against Auburn. I just hope White doesn’t pick us apart like Mr. Cox did.
I will say this, this weekend’s game is third game out of six against a top ten team. Not to many teams in the nation can say they have played Auburn, LSU, and West Virginia. We should still be 3-2 right now and hoping to upset #4 ranked West Virginia. However, things haven’t gone our way and continue to slide the wrong way.
I am trying my best to be positive!
