Jamont Gordon, Mississippi State

Gordon averaged 15.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists in leading the Bulldogs to a 2-1 record on the week.
He capped the week by recording season highs in points (20), rebounds (9), assists (5) and blocks (2) in leading Mississippi State to an 82-69 overtime home win over Santa Clara this past Saturday.
Gordon’s 20 points versus Santa Clara were the most by an MSU freshman since Erick Dampier tallied 22 points vs. Auburn on Jan. 12, 1994.
State’s second-leading scorer on the season, Gordon has scored in double digits in each of his last six games.
